With the worldwide lock-down because of Covid-19, we have seen heaps of people all over the planet becoming homegrown chefs, cooks, food critics, etc. That's a positive! We know that it's mostly unhealthy what we eat from restaurants, fast-food places, takeaways, etc. They all run a commercial enterprise and so would not necessarily use the most healthy option in terms of ingredients. But compare that with home-cooked meals: we will look for the freshest, choicest, best ingredients! Suddenly everyone is a cooking virtuoso, a wizard in the kitchen. And because of digital technology, the whole world gets to see the concoction of the end result. Ordinary folks now have the time and the desire (perhaps out of boredom) to cook a meal. I've seen the reincarnation of 2-minute noodles into gustatory and culinary delights. Leftovers are now magically reincarnated to satisfy the cravings of a family bubble that's working from home, doing online learning, or simply enjoying this forced vacation. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Zoom, Viber, Skype, WhatsApp, among many other digital tools has enabled these culinary impresarios to share their concoctions to the whole world! Now, why should I watch terrestrial TV when there's much more to see in the digital world!
