National Apple Pie Day

"If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe" (Carl Sagan). It's been said that, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. How about a slice or two of apple pie? What will that do? In my situation, one thing for sure, that will bring a big smile on my face. I've always loved eating apple pies. I guess it had something to do with my youthful years, when we didn't have much apples in the homeland because it was all imported from overseas. Having an apple was quite a status symbol back in the day and eating an apple was a huge plus factor. Imagine when one had an apple pie for dessert! That was big time!
