Martin Luther King Day

The 3rd Monday of January is commemorated and celebrated as Martin Luther King Day in honor of the United States' most famous civil-rights activist.  I have a vague recollection of listening on the AM radio to one of his speeches in 1963 when we said a simple phrase then but would later on be a rallying cry for millions of his supporters and followers.  Thus began, the road, the quest, the journey for, "I Have A Dream."  An assassin's bullet shattered that dream on April 4, 1968.  I was 12 years old when I heard about his death.  It may have stopped the dream, the march for a short time, but after the mourning was over, the dream continued, carried on, stronger, bigger, farther.  It's quite appropriate that we're launching this blog on this day!
