Source: youtube.com
"Life is the beginning of death" (African proverb). A day of remembrance for our dearly departed. It is a given, a sure thing, that we will all die someday. Who will remember us? How will we be remembered? This Covid-19 pandemic has shown us that life could be taken away from us, life could be over in a blink of an eye. Migrants like me can't go home to bid final farewell to our loved ones who moved on to their eternal resting place. Lockdowns and restrictions make it extremely difficult and at times impossible to leave Aotearoa New Zealand.
